Raphael Victor Sullivan
A high school student, son of a single mother. He's introverted and calm, usually keeping his thoughts to himself, and is very easily embarassed by his mother's teasing and bluntness, even though he can be just as blunt when angered. Raphael is terrified of the god dwelling in him, and of his budding powers, but still wants to live as normal a life as possible; he has decided not to let god "win".
He's a momma's boy through and through.
Birthday: January 8
Age: 15
Extra info: He loves pasta, stroganoff, french fries and strawbery tarts with chantilly - but hates popcorn. He also played in his school's volleyball team, though it was pretty weak. He never got to play in actual competitions, always stewing in the bench.

Alexia Sullivan
Raphael's mother. She had him when she was sixteen; Raph believes she was abandoned by his father, but that may not be true. She's strong, cheerful, outgoing and blunt, and loves teasing the beejeezus out of her subdued son.
Alexia seemed to know about the god in him, but didn't seem to mind or care; she did throw the Brotherhood off their scents for a very long time, though. And, even though she's currently beyond reach, her memories have given Raphael strength when it was needed.
Birthday: July 19
Age: 31
Extra info: She's a professional hairdresser, and styles both her hair and Raph's. For a while, she made an habit out of coming up with strange hair styles for herself before breakfast, just to see Raph's outraged reaction at the table. He soon got jaded, though, and it stopped being fun. She's also responsible for his haircut, which he actually quite likes despite its girlishness. Her favorite color is purple, in all shades. |
William Oswald
This man almost ran over Raphael, who was fainted in the middle of a street on a rainy night; he took the boy to a hospital, the staff of which seems to know him quite well. He talked to Raphael twice during the latter's recovery, but since Raph can only remember the second visit, he's got no way of knowing why this man actually went out of his way to obtain his guardianship and take him in. All Raphael can tell is that he's not a part of the cult.
Birthday: April 2
Age: 42
Extra info: He teaches Spanish at a high school. |
Larissa Oswald
William's daughter. She's a strange girl, with hunched shoulders, always wearing a dopey half smile in her lips regardless of the mood around her. She seems to be amused by the awkwardness she causes people to feel, principally when she makes it clear she's smarter than she seems to be.
Birthday: October 5
Age: 16
Extra info: She takes ballet classes. |
Daniel
William's brother-in-law, and a private investigator. He was called to look into Raph's circumstances when William found him; whatever the results of his investigation, they caused William to take Raphael in his home.
He seems to know a lot about Raphael's circumstances and the Brotherhood after him, and serves as confidant and counsellor. Even the god in Raphael trusts him; it left the boy a message explicitly telling him to do so as well. Whether Raphael can trust the god, however...
Birthday: -
Age: 24
Extra info: He was a policeman, and was about to make it to the FBI when he quit and went private instead. Nobody knows why. |
God
His goals are a mystery, but has been surprisingly helpful so far. He seems to be evading the messengers as well. |

Camila
Asked Raph out on a date with the wrong idea and the wrong intentions. Her situation doesn't look good. |
Messengers
They're the envoys sent to talk Raphael into submission. He finds them extremely unamusing and their talk a bunch of bullshit. They tend to dress and act like successful businessmen, though the first one did have a pimp coat. |
Acolytes
More like henchmen than anything else. They tried to corner Raphael once, but it didn't end up well. Raphael thinks they're badly lacking in the common sense part. |
Reverends
Apparently the cream of the top of the Brotherhood. They all look very old, very rich, very pompous and very much not cultists. Unlink the acolytes and messengers, they seem perfectly aware that Raphael has very little intention of listening to a word they say, but keep trying anyway for lack of a better plan. |
